The Rice Owls (9-3) couldn’t really ask for more, not only have they been awarded a NCAA Bowl football game – but they will also play for it in their home town. Tonight they will face the Western Michigan Broncos (9-3) for the Texas Bowl.

Aside from the playoff games, this is the NFL football game we all want to see. Can the Green Bay Packers (5-10) deal a crushing blow to the Detroit Lions (0-15) and make them the worse team in NFL history? It hasn’t been a kind season for Detroit fans and their chances of finishing with a win are very slim – even against a struggling Green Bay side.

Today bottom placed West Brom face a Tottenham team that have climbed free of the relegation zone. The most exciting result would be a win for the home side which would close the gap between West Brom and the rest of the table and make the season more tense – which is good for the fans.

Title favourites, Chelsea, may have their work cut out today against a Fulham side that are pulling off some good results this season. Fulham actually hold 8th place at present which is great for a club that slimly survived relegation last season.
